Residential & Commercial Asphalt Paving Services

Sealcoating is a treatment which protects your driveway and walkways form the elements: water, air, oils, and UV light. Sealcoating is a layer of material applied to the top of the asphalt to protect it. Properly applied sealcoating can improve the look of your paving, and make it last longer. Sealcoating can protect your driveway for up to 5 years, depending on your weather conditions. At that time, your driveway can be prepped and sealcoated again.

Sealcoating can increase the lifespan of your asphalt paving, and also helps with water runoff. The sealcoat layer protects and seals the asphalt, preventing further cracking and chipping. Sealcoating also improves the cosmetic look of paving. It usually makes the surface a little darker, and makes your drive easier to clean. Sealcoating can improve the look of your paving, and your property in general.

Sealcoating should not be applied until your paving is completely cured. This is very important. Usually it is advisable to wait 1 – 2 years after installing new asphalt. The surface needs to have completely cured. Conditions need to be dry and manageable when applying sealcoating. Weather can be a factor when scheduling your sealcoating. Cameron Paving will go over all your options and determine if sealcoating is right for you.

We can determine what steps are necessary to protect your paving. This may include sealcoating, which is far superior to simple crack fillers. We use tarconite sealcoating, which is airport grade, and the best protection you can get on the market. We carefully block off and edge the area we are working on to prevent any sealcoating from getting on buildings or lawns.

Cameron Paving will personally consult with you to determine if sealcoating is right for your project. We advise clients on all the options for paving. We will also discuss any specific needs regarding geography, ground material, and water run-off. Each job is different, and we bring over 35 years experience in paving to every project. You get experience combined with personal attention to make sure you are satisfied with your paving.
